NSF GK-12 Graduate Fellowships
Application Procedures
The year 2002 NSF GK-12 Graduate Fellowships will begin May 13, 2002 and run through August 15, 2003. Applicants will be notified regarding their acceptance during the month of March. For more information on this program, contact Nanda Kirkpatrick at kpat@rice.edu.

To apply for an NSF GK-12 Graduate Fellowship, please send:

  • A completed application for admission which includes a statement indicating your interest and experience in contributing to the K-12 education community and working with diverse populations
  • An unofficial transcript for all your college work

by March 1, 2002 to:

(If hand delivered, applications must be received by 5 pm. March 1)

  • Please note that you must be a US citizen or permanent resident to be eligible to apply.
  • If you are selected as a 2002-2003 GK-12 Fellow, you must be able to commit to participating in the full 15-month program by April 1, 2002.
  • To participate in the program, you must provide and maintain active medical insurance coverage during the entire program. (The fellowship does not provide payment of your health insurance.)
